Things To Crochet For Halloween 2020

Looking for something fun to crochet for Halloween?

All I wanted to do was find a fun project to crochet for Halloween. My biggest mistake was starting my search on Pinterest. I searched for awhile and found the perfect weekend project. But then I discover it was nothing more than click bait, leading me into a vortex of links and slideshows. Then I had to start over again. But the same thing happened. Then I think, ok, I’ll just make up a pattern based on the picture. But then the picture was tiny. It wasn’t big enough to see the stitches used, let alone count them!

I can’t tell you how many times this has happened to me. At the end of it all I still don’t have a pattern and I’ve wasted my crocheting time.

Which led me to putting together this list. I thought it would be great to curate a list of small, affordable projects for the season. All the links would work and I could get right to the best part: the crocheting!

I combed through dozens of projects. I considered a lot of different things. Pattern readability, skill level, project cost and originality of the design were just a few. The handful of projects below I can’t wait to try myself!

Please share your thoughts or awesome pattern links in the comments below. I’d love to see what you’re making!

Amigurumi Black Cat

I can’t wait to make one of these cuties! I can’t really decide so I might just make both.

Ghostly Garland

As a kid, I loved making tiny little ghosts like this out of white kitchen bags for our front yard. This year I’m definitely going to be crocheting them… they’re so adorable!

Vintage Cat, Ghost & Pumpkin

If I crochet just one thing from this list, let it be this vintage cat! You do have to buy each character separately, but they’re such original patterns I don’t mind supporting this talented crochet artist one bit.

Halloween Dotty Pillow

Such a cute idea! I love the dots and have been wanting to do a two-color piece like this. Plus it’ll go with any Halloween decor no matter what.

The Woven Hearts Beanie

I don’t come across a lot of wearable Halloween crochet projects so this was an a-m-a-z-i-n-g find! So cute with candy corn colors, I’m definitely making this one.
