Half Double Crochet (hdc) Introduction

The half double crochet (hdc) stitch is a fun little stitch with only half the height of the double crochet (dc) stitch. This simple little stitch adds a little more heft than a single crochet (sc) stitch with the addition of a yarn over (yo).
